Ultimate Quarantine Playlist

The pandemic sweeping the world is very serious and we’re all coping in different ways. Please note that I do not want to minimize the seriousness and scariness of this time and this illness. That said, humor has always been my main method of coping with anything, so I took some time this week to create an Ultimate Quarantine Playlist. This playlist is perfect to listen to while you’re spending time at home. Like a lot of time at home. Like more than ever before. This playlist has some humor, some depth, and some good ole fun. Click here to listen, and see the full track list below!

My Ultimate Quarantine Playlist

It’s the End of the World as We Know It – R.E.M.
I mean, the title says it all.

Work From Home – Fifth Harmony
We ain’t gotta go to work, work, work, work, work work work.

f*ck, I’m lonely – Lauv
Who among us isn’t feeling a little lonely these days?

U Can’t Touch This – MC Hammer
Things we can’t touch right now: everything.

What a Time – Julia Michaels
Seriously, WHAT A TIME we are living in right now.

Thru These Tears – LANY
“This hurts like hell
But I keep telling myself
It’s gonna get better
But it’s taking forever”

Cause I need more time
Just a few more months and we’ll be fine

Aren’t we all hoping that in a few more months everything will be fine?

Ready to Run – One Direction
Great theme song for everyone who is suddenly ready to start exercising after being cooped up all day, every day.

If the World Was Ending – JP Saxe, Julia Michaels
Just another reference to the world ending, haha! I’m fine!

all the kids are depressed – Jeremy Zucker
“Cause all the kids are depressed
Nothing ever makes sense
I’m not feeling alright
Staying up ’til sunrise
And hoping sh*t is okay”

I am sorry to get fake deep here, but alas.

Like the World is Going to End – Ben Rector
Honestly after all this I hope we do start to live like the world is going to end. I hope we cherish the little things more, sweat the small stuff less, and focus on what really matters.

Come Back…Be Here – Taylor Swift
Me @ normal life.

Dancing on My Own – Robyn
If you haven’t been having solo dance parties during this quarantine, you’re doing it wrong.

Lonely – Noah Cyrus
More lonely vibes, sorry 🙁

Side to Side – Ariana Grande
“I’ve been here all night
I’ve been here all day”

Get it? Cause we can’t leave our houses?

Naive – Andy Grammer
“And if it’s stupid to see the good in everything
Lord, help me please, help me to be naive”

A big key to maintaining mental health is staying positive and grateful for what good we still have right now.

Don’t Stand So Close to Me – The Police

You Need to Calm Down – Taylor Swift
Me @ COVID-19. Please calm the heck down and leave us alone.

Stay – Zedd, Alessia Cara
“All you have to do is stay”
This is how we’re being called to fight this thing – by staying at home. That’s all we have to do! (I know it’s hard and “all” doesn’t really capture the magnitude of this sacrifice, but this simplifies it).

the light is coming – Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj
“The light is coming to give back everything the darkness stole”
Y’all, the light is coming and this will end. Life will be normal again one day!

“And I don’t, and I don’t, and I don’t know why
I don’t have anyone on a weekend night
Where the hell are my friends?”

You know, since we can’t hang out with our friends any more.

Love Myself – Hailee Steinfeld
“Gonna love myself, no, I don’t need anybody else”

Almost – Thomas Rhett
“Thank God for the almost
Thank God for the so close
Thank God for the night I came within an inch of that fence post”

I’m a big believer that everything happens for a reason and God’s got a plan, even through all of this mess.

Keep Your Head Up – Andy Grammer
Even though this time sucks, we’ve gotta keep our heads up and stay positive to get through it.

I Forgot That You Existed – Taylor Swift
This is what I hope we can all say to COVID-19 one day.

That’s my playlist! What songs would you add to your ultimate quarantine playlist?

xo, Liz
